  • On line. View the classes on offer by clicking one of the day buttons above or the A-Z Classes button. Select a class in which you would like to be enrolled by clicking the Request a Place button to the right of the class description and then log in. Then you can continue to request further classes. When finished, click on Logout or Back buttons and optionally pay your membership fee online. (Further details below under "Courses".)

Courses:   Click on the day at the top of the page to see the classes that are offered on that day, or click "All Courses A-Z" for a alphabetic list of all classes. The enrolment status of each class is reported as Open or Waitlist, depending on whether or not there are places available in the class.

If you see a class you would like to join, you can request a place online. Requesting a place on line early gives you a better chance of being accepted into the more popular classes. To request a place, first, click on the button to the right of the course details you want to join. You will be asked to log on if you have not done so already.

Enter your names or your Membership ID. Then enter your date of birth. If you already have a membership record at U3A Geelong, the place in the class you requested will be actioned.

If you have never applied for membership in previous years, you can do so at this stage by pressing the button and supplying the information requested. Required entries are indicated by a red star. Once completed, you will be logged in automatically and your request for a place will be actioned.

If there are places available in the class (i.e., the class is Open), you will be enrolled automatically unless the tutor needs to interview you before acceptance. If the class is full, you can still request a place, but you will be placed on the wait list. If a place becomes available, you will be enrolled.

Once logged in, you may continue browsing and requesting places in classes and you can check your enrolment status in all the classes you have requested by clicking the button at the top of the page.

When you are finished click the Back or buttons at the top of the page to log out.

Before you attend any classes, you are required to pay your membership fee, unless you have done so already.

By using these new online facilities to apply for membership and to request a place in your classes of choice, you will assist in streamlining substantially the processes on enrolment day and avoid delays.

New Tutors:   U3A Geelong depends on tutors volunteering their experience, qualifications and ability to conduct a course.  If you are interested in becoming a tutor then please ring the office on 5244 5114.  A short interview will be arranged by representatives of the Committee of Management to map out the process of becoming a tutor.
